Love cricket and cricket will love you back. Cricket is a game that tests your character and resilience..
The Captains Honours Board at Alberton Cricket Club is dedicated to the men and women who lead their teams with pride, purpose, and resilience. Captaining a side is far more than wearing an armband—it’s about setting the tone, making crucial decisions under pressure, and inspiring teammates through leadership both on and off the field. A captain embodies the values of discipline, unity, and commitment, guiding their squad through challenges and triumphs alike. It is a true honour to captain any team at Alberton Cricket Club, and this board stands as a lasting tribute to those who have carried that responsibility with distinction.
At Alberton Cricket Club, we take pride in recognising outstanding individual performances, and our Honours Board is a testament to the excellence within our senior ranks. To earn a place on this prestigious board, a senior cricketer must achieve a significant milestone—either scoring a century (100 runs or more) in a single innings or taking five wickets in a match. These benchmarks reflect the high standards and competitive spirit we value at our club. Being featured on the Honours Board is not only a personal achievement but also an inspiration to teammates and future generations of Alberton cricketers.
For our Veterans Cricket Honours Board at Alberton Cricket Club, players must reach one of two key milestones to earn a place—scoring 100 runs in a single innings or taking 5 wickets in a match. These achievements represent the high level of skill, commitment, and passion our veteran players continue to bring to the game. The Honours Board not only celebrates individual excellence but also acknowledges the vital role our veteran cricketers play in upholding the spirit and legacy of the club.
Junior cricket is the future of Alberton Cricket Club, and we are proud to celebrate the achievements of our young players who represent the next generation of talent. To cement your name in the club’s history and earn a spot on our Junior Honours Board, you’ll need to score 50 runs or more in a single innings or take 4 wickets in a match. These milestones showcase not only skill and potential but also the passion and determination that define our junior cricketers. We look forward to seeing many rising stars earn their place and inspire others along the way.
